The Department of Visual Arts and New Media at Fredonia provides a balanced, comprehensive undergraduate program in the practice, theory, and history of the visual arts and new media. Visual Arts and New Media is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
Admission to the department is a two-part application process, an academic application to the Office of Admissions (admission to the college is based upon a review of your academic work) and submission of an acceptable portfolio to the Department of Visual Arts and New Media for both freshman and transfer students.
The department reviews portfolios for admission all year long, and there is no actual due date. However, to be considered for an incoming freshman scholarship for the following academic year, we ask that you submit by March 31st.
